Joyeux Noel and happy holidays! The Swiss Lary's have thoroughly enjoyed year 2 of our adventures in Europe! It is amazing how quickly time flies! We hope you enjoy a few pictures highlighting our 2009 travels. We hope to capture many more exciting moments in 2010.
In September we ventured to Chamonix, France. But this time we ascended high into the French Alps to Aiguille du Midi, part of the Mont Blanc massif. This photo only shows the "halfway point," prior to boarding the world's highest vertical ascent cable car going from 1,035m to 3,842m with a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc. Kellen and Devan enjoyed rock climbing and hiking on this beautiful, sunny day.

In August we visited northern Italy, bordering the canton of Ticino, Switzerland. On the way home, we took the scenic route and crossed over a gorgeous mountain pass in the Alps - the views were stunning. Kellen was the photographer here.

Here is a photo of Kellen and Devan, our budding "futbol" stars (that would be "soccer" for us Americans) in their favorite Irish jerseys.

In October (Autumn break) we opted for our first Disney experience! So off to Paris we drove to meet Mickey and friends. The boys loved every minute (and so did us grown ups)! It felt like we were back in the good ol' U.S of A ... except for Mickey speaking French that is.

Back in April (Spring Break) we headed far south for our first visit to the African continent. We spent Easter in Marrakech, Morocco. The weather and sun was perfect. We rode camels, toured the souks (maze of shopping) and were charmed by snakes and monkeys!

In May we returned to the Irish homeland for 5 days in Dublin. We had a great time visiting friends, taking in some sights and sipping Daddy's favorite drink ... Guinness! In the background is Dalkey Island on the east coast of Ireland, just south of Dublin.
