The Lary parents are visiting Switzerland for the month of May. As such we all decided to tour Switzerland via train for six days. We enjoyed amazing rides through the countrysides and Alps of Switzerland stopping for a day or two in Zermatt, St. Moritz, Luzerne and Interlaken. We experienced some incredible scenery which is difficult to replicate in photos and the weather was absolutely gorgeous - 68+ in every location! The trains were wonderful, especially the panoramic trains of the Glacier Express and Golden Pass.
The Matterhorn as beautifully displayed from Zermatt...

On top of Europe - and the end of the Gornergrat cog train - 10,132FT!
Coming down from Gronergrot, Kellen and Devan made a new friend who was from Japan.
Kellen and Devan adopted the mountain goat monument in Zermatt and named him "Smoony" - we all had to bid farewell to our friend upon our departure.
Now, the Glacier Express to St. Moritz. What a beautiful train ride this was!

A serious lunch on the Glacier Express!

Incredible views of the Alps ... doesn't get much better than this!
Arrival to our hotel in St. Moritz. This Swiss resort town was home to the 1928 and 1948 Winter Olympics. Unfortunately, we visited at the very end of their "dead season" so it was more of a ghost town than it's usual hopping, upscale shopping, fabulous skiing, frequent summer destination.
We spent the majority of our time alongside Lake Luzern where it was full of ducks, birds and swans which the boys enjoyed watching and feeding!
Now, to Interlaken we go! A view from Murren - just up from the town of Interlaken. We rose up into the mountains via train and tram/cable car. Going up wasn't bad but coming down was a bit steep and scary!

A park overlooking the Jungfrau Mountain in Interlaken. Nearing the end of our travels ...

Paragliders peppered the sky all through the Alps and there were many in Interlaken.
More entertainment in Interlaken - an oversized chess and checkers game. Not to mention the fountains next to it which the boys also enjoyed in the warm weather!

The boys made more friends on our train back to Geneva. Weren't they sorry they said hello to these kids!
